Dunno if there is an up to date guide, but for logging I'd go either bottom left abidos garrison (north kurzan) or yan's path (south rimeria) and hang out top right corner of "windy forest" or do loops around there. For Mining I prefer nukman valley (south rimeria) around the southmost waypoint. There are no mechanically challenging classes, not really, but almost every class has some kind of gimmick or few rules to follow. Some has multiple such class mechanics. RE has to hit certain abilities within the maelstorm buff and not miss any gauge generation or they will be zdps for a while.
