Clear Echidna Gate 1 at least. Complete that purple guide quest. Find it in the GUIDE tab of your quest menu, do not use the SEARCH tab

Use Echidna mats + shards to temper/unlock a stage of adv honing. Then hone

i think you might be overestimating the solo mode difficulty a little bit.. you can do a lot with just the sidereals and hyper awakening

@silk rover what I did on the express pass was regular hone up to 1660, and then advanced hone from 1660 to 1680, as that was when the express event gave me a bunch of advanced honing books

I've tried cross referencing with similar stuff on the AH to see the cost efficiency and they seem pretty okay value for money and a decent use of roster bound gold. * Withheld gold is restricted from Auction/Market/Trading for 3 days.

I wasn't planning on honing past 1680 (which is where I'm at) for a little bit to work on other stuff to improve my CP...Which is why I was thinking to take the gold, but it sounds like the long term play is to grab the fusion mats, thanks guys!
