Complex class to sink ur time into mastering = Re Death blade probably since the way its ceiling works is great for mastery chasers, check mattchupichu’s re blade vids, u basically have 0 downtime and constantly dpsing by paralysis/knock immunity everything with impeccable timing and do infinity dps. Both his surge and re blade play styles are difficult.

card rng needs you to think a little more than classes without this gimmick

alot of other classes is just knowing the boss, and knowing how to press your buttons is a certain order fast enough

So if you are ceiling chasing, i would assume you already know the boss. Then it's just a matter of how complex your kit is.
So it's just a matter of how fast can you process your arcana's kit/card draw vs how good you are at chasing ass as RE Blade

RE Blades with very many sources to just bullshit their way through boss patterns is

Thats basically correct. If you wait for the correct cards to pop up before you use your skills, you end up doing way less dps than you would if you just used the cards and skills as they come.

I never played arcanist at high level either, but I had one at around 1500 before I deleted her, playing emperor and its just best to keep doing your combo/rotation and using the cards you get. Sometimes holding if you see you have potentially decent cards to buff your combo to do crazy damage.

The mental load for arcana really comes from knowing or preempting your cull/wheel/clown cards. It's basically a non-stop atro cycle relative to your cooldowns.

The trash cards will just be cycled out naturally

if its a button u push only for getting the paralysis immunity then agree but if its baked into a skill u normally use as ur rotation then its harder coz u have to assess when u can use it, if u use it too early u dont have it thus dont hit ceiling and if u held onto it then ur also losing dps

coz we are comparing arcana dps to arcana dps if u dont have para immune neither does any other arcana

Not really. There are more patterns with paralysis than push immune which you use to power thru most of the patterns. Prepositioning is not unique to any class of course. Being hitmaster is the only upper hand that arcana has over re db when it comes to lower complexity.

Both still have to cycle efficiently to hit their desired cpm. DB has more tools to greed patterns but of course if they don't use those tools, they are also floordb

I'm not denying that db is a difficult class in terms of mastery.

But peak mastery would still go to arcana in my book purely from the amount of game sense they need to truly maximise their class.

DB doesn't have a hard rotation, its difficulty comes from knowing how to use ur kit perfectly for each encounter, having para immunity up but not over holding it, repositioning perfectly with skills rather than walk so u need to know how much distance each skill moves u etc... all to keep the high uptime, always hitting and greeding/para immune as much as possible

Get to 1620 (+19 all pieces), do kenuat fortress until you get 6 equip boxes, transfer and get to 1640. If you have excess t3 stuff, you can run an echidna and at least do tempering under advanced honing in t3 as shards to not transfer.

There's a lil catch with your way of playing, you ain't fully using the express if you go manually since you need akkan gear to actually start honing past 1580 (1585), so you will take a full month to get full akkan ancient, unless you use the powerpass, which it, conveniently, gives full akkan armors, so it's up to you if you wanna make an alt and pass it to get the full benefits asap (can be the same class) or just play it slow
