crafting specifically bound version of items (usually like fusion materials or ship upgrade parts) or repairing your dispatch ships if you also have the stronghold wood, otherwise it's fine to hoard them until you actually want to collect from the stronghold farm for whatever reason like less time to play + making use of some life energy, or just dont want to gather yourself. i wouldnt try to go out of your way to empty it out as you'll probably keep having to collect from your farm for various bits and bobs to do so when you could spend life energy on actually gathering instead

youll learn more crafting recipes as you level it up and there should be like a farm (bound) tab in your crafting workshop? and you'd craft in there

otherwise the next use is to repair your dispatch ships as they slowly lose durability, but you need the bound wood in combination w that

if you want iron ore, you need to find a map that has mining and hit rocks yourself (or buy off market)

but i wouldnt worry about trying to burn stronghold farm mats otherwise

any stronghold mat being asked for will have the little green house icon on it, if unbound it wont

If you wanna compare 2 accessories you enter stats for 1, check total DPS, then enter stats for 1 and see which total DPS number is higher.

Or if you wanna take the general rough route you can just enter stats WITHOUT said accessory (Necklace for example) and then check the Acc tab.
