It’s not just story. You need gear to progress the story. And the game is horribly optimized for gearing from scratch without an existing endgame character.

You need materials and gold. Due to botting measures, there’s virtually no source of gold early on.

That being said, I’d highly suggest just using at least one of those power passes. Then you at least have a character, even if you don’t play it for a while.

Power passes will expire, and they’re worth like $70 in the cash shop. Might as well just use it

Yeah, that’s in ark passive. You’ll also want to change your skills, but ark passive is how you change your “class spec”

Those are all the soursed there. Growth Effect Boost from progression events in green at the top. Solars & Books are the only things.
If you are honing Tier 3 ilvls without an event on future chars there are stronghold researches you can do that help slightly with honing odds.

Hello, i'm trying to build a roster but i'm not sure how to progress atm, just got 1680 with around 1.2k combat power
I have around 350k gold and 2 fresh 1585 alts
I know honing outside of express is expensive so i'm not sure if it would be worth, and how long it would take to recoup the cost
Should i just keep focusing on my main? I have quite a few mats and 15-18 books but from what ive seen unless i could hit 1700 the ROI wouldn't be too good (and i would prob lack the CS)
Would parking at 1680 be a better move? If so what would be some good guidelines to have to know when im ready to hone again?

Hello everyone. I just started the game with Valkyrie and I was watching a guide that recommended that I do the event challenge boss raid first because it’s noob friendly. However, I struggle to bring the boss’ health low and then it oneshots me after like 4 - 5 minutes. Is it a skill issue or should I work on something else first
