You are not exactly expected to die in chaos dungeons to begin with, even at low ilvl and even without potting. Check chaos dungeon build in the community for your class and try out different skills to find out which have good aoe. You can also create a second preset of ark passive and skills on your panel tuned specifically for chaos dungeons.

You can also use this ark passive setup to minimize skill cd (or run the nodes closer to the right for classes that don't have mana)

There's also card 15% dmg and 2,5% buff card sets for darkness element but nobody gives a flying fuck about them since forever
LOS/LWC will be your main card sets for... for a very, very long time.
