If you bought slots and with the additional extra free 130 you go past the 510 total, you will get refunded the extra additional ones, aka if you had 380 slots before the patch you won't be getting a refund at all since you reached the exact max slots, anything over that and you will get 50 blue crystals a row.

I would just keep the gems, you're 2.5 item levels away which is +1 on 3 pieces. you can farm that in a week's worth of 1640 raids
so you'll probably hit 1660 later this week, after doing all your raids
without having to nuke your gems, and with those gems you're much more likely to get into an aegir group than without

Char on brel gear at or under +19 can craft an akkan gear week 1 (in this case armor, as weapon is impossible in solo/normal mode), hone transfer the quality from that brel gear to a +0 fresh akkan, then the whatever + akkan armor you got from that to the +12 (or higher if you already honed) akkan from powerpass, giving you the old quality on the brel gear, dismantle the leftover akkan +0 and brel +0, get full mats back, craft the next akkan armor, repeat, and on week 2 you get enough for the weapon without buying boxes, as arcturus touch gives you 2x mats rewards for the first 5 clears and solo shop has 20 akkan mats you can buy weekly (20 from solo shop (weekly reset) + 20 for first clear reward + 22 from akkan 1-3 clear).

You're in the dead zone's dead zone, nobody levels up characters manually anymore from beginning, you will hit an inevitable wall when it comes to gearing your character. If you do not want to play the assassin, make a new account and choose Breaker and powerpass him

That's exactly what I'm saying, a lot of the old content is dead and the way you're doing it would take months. If you start a fresh account and powerpass Breaker or whatever class you want to main, at least you can start having some fun and do raids, horizontal content, dungeons etc
