I'm a returning player who only has a mid level of horizontal progression done. However much of what I have read about is gatekeeping here and there and how hard it is to get into raids, even non current content. So I was thinking about going support (paladin cuz thats the one i enjoy the most) to maybe help myself catch up easier with both maybe its easier to get into group, and also I have heard its cheaper to gear. I would say Scourgewolf ,u will have a way easier time getting into groups as a support class than as a DPS , in general.I use 2 rosters ,one base since day 1 (305+ ) only dps ,and other which i created when artist class came out on different server (low roster bout 140 now ) , only has 2 supp's. if the gatekeep is stronk, u won't even be able to do anything crzyp . I feel far less gatekeep in my supp 140 roster ,than 310 dps roster. It's true though , that there will be gatekeep as supp or as dps , i just feel supp has way less gatekeep. check for instance atm supp demand in new raid aegir . is insane. there are no supp's for pugging it nearly.

Gut check - hit DD30 and LOS18 on main server with the cards from ignite. DD30 is ~10% damage and LOS18 is 7% but also holy damage. So DD30 for general purposes and LOS18 for legion bosses?
