Old player i quit around Ilvl 1475 but im looking to get back into the game but im completely lost with things now.
Where is the best place to start currently? Should i be playing the Ignite servers or looking at starting to play my old characters again?

I did that and played 6 characters in chaos dungeons and guardian raids to figure out which one will be my main that transfers. Learned the hard way to decide on what your main will be before honing gear requires gold.

So when you hone and hit it in the first try it would be called a one tap
When you hit a hone using special fusion mats it is called a free tap since they don't cost materials

different server are different progression, besides you can get a lot more stuff on the ignite server and then either transfer a single char and keep your progression or overwrite your current legacy server (or a separate server) and save all the collectibles progression
if you're new new, you probably just want to overwrite your entire stuff, it will help a lot in the long term
besides, where you are right now you can get there in a flash after you finish the transfer from ignite to legacy
so, you can have an extremely juiced character, recover/speed run a new character to where you currently are and keep playing the story if you want

Since your Ignite character will likely have a higher roster level than your Live character, my assumption is you would need to go to a different server otherwise you lose a lot of your Ignite roster level.

you can just start and do story on the new server the ignite stuff transfers to
new chars have to do story each anyway

unless you also want to do the whole side quests
then feel free to do so
but it will be super scuffed past a certain points
coz honing will be much harder on a server with nothing compared to a server where you can funnel your low alt with your juiced main

It’s really easy to fuck up honestly
The beams small and if you don’t start that mech from a good camera position the boss could be off your screen from where you have to stand. Always try to start that mech at the bottom of the map

Autoclickers are not allowed by either the game rules or the Steam EAC.
No clue however if they actually ban for that, so if you want to do that then do it at your own risk knowing there is the chance of you losing everything

Playing catchup on research does end up costing a decent amount, but is very worth it. Just target the things you care about most first. The honing and xp buffs are there to make catching up on alts less painful. Having some high level alts can be nice for a little extra gold farming, and just to have fun, try things out, and to have a few more things handy.
For example, one of the alts I do not play much anymore has their bifrost points at all the rapport NPCs I am working on. I hop onto her, bounce through them all, and am done in 5 minutes

Hey all, recently started playing again (left just before Vykas release).
I was able to get my main to 1536, and my alts are currently at 1430/1385/1370/1370/1370. (I got a char pending on Ignite for transfer as well)
I’m trying to get my alts up to be able to do raids on them for gold generation - what would be the optimal strategy for them?
Other than stronghold research, is there any other things I should know before trying to hone them up one by one?
I’m also considering the Elgacia Pass at 1100 RC - but not sure if that’s really worth it

is make a new character on the ignite server
bring it to 1620 there
then add that to your current roster once you hit that goal
you get a ton of rewards for that + 200k bound gold
forget about your alts tbh
they dont work as efficiently anymore because it's no longer about just ilvls
there are multiple new systems where you can sink hundreds of thousands of gold into
making it hard to justify to play alts from the ground up
sweet spot for raids is currently ilvl 1610

Buying out the various event shops and the last SME was able to get my soon-to-be-former main to 1600 and get a starting 40 set with the potent (free) elixirs. Was only just barely able to do it though. Still sitting at a 38 count on elixirs on my ignite character trying to convert the Luck bonus to Critical 😦
