each mainstory line should give about 1-3 roster level

u should only do mainstory if you’re looking to also progress on that character, for example repeating pleccia / voidis to do ivory tower on a character

or else you should first focus on collectibles/cubes for roster xp

is there perhaps something blocking you from going to Rohendel?

It's a generic quest for collecting all 7 arks. Your next step in the story IS the purple quest to go to rohendel

once it hits 0/0 you can stop

but you are able to go inside to do more chaos dungeons if you wish

Raiding in LOA is actually on the easier end for mmos if you are a decently skilled mmo player
