It’s not suggested to use the stronghold farm as it’s less efficient than manually fishing or excavating.
But it’s located in the same tab where you dispatch ships and stuff.

At the beginning there are dedicated areas in your stronghold where you can fish, excavate etc. After a certain point ( probably a mission I don't remember ) you can handle this with the main menu in your stronghold ( Ctrl + 1 ).
You can also get the mat by fishing / excavating / etc everywhere in Arkesia. You need the right tools

When you open your map ( M ), you can see on top right of your screen, for this area, what resources are available

For fishing there's nothing special to do except going a a dedicated spot, which is represented with a fishing icon on the map.
For excavating for example you have to activate the sonar. For hunting you need to throw a knife. Press B, and L to manage these special actions

Sounds like you used a north Vern power pass. Power passes are different based upon what type you buy and stuff.

It's still fine, for some classes, it's not the most cost effective, but it's up to you on how much they are. Grudge 5/6 accessories aren't that expensive so you can go that way but the main reason people use it is cause all dps use grudge. If your characters all share RC or Adren then that could be better

what matter more is ilvl if your on ilvl chances you get in are low even with 5x3+1 unless you have friends

With every 20 books you get 3 nodes. 12 max when you get all your leg books. You can then equip 2 different eng effects
