yep so normal amulets like the one i linked above only have a chance at levelling that skill to the specified level
the event ones (wishful/hope amulet) GUARANTEE a skill to level 4 or 5 depending on the amulet
look up a community guide for the class you're looking to upgrade- they have tripod priorities

you'd want to use your guaranteed amulets on the high priority tripods
because those are the ones where you want a high level skill first

You get a maximum of 4 powerpasses for a new account as of this moment; 1 for exclusively jump start server, one for the whole region (may have changed to per account), and 2 for beating north vern.
2 are event, 2 are permanent, both event ones puts you at 1415 ilv, permanents at 500 ilv
after that you either play the game as intended and level them up with mats you get from dailies etc (you can skip the story if you pay gold, but you will NOT get armors from it except for the first "Knowledge Transfer"), wait for event powerpasses (god knows when) or buy the powerpasses

yeah i think im just gonna do dailies on both my main and my alt. then ima start learning brel so i can 1-3 then with that il get 1520 or something then il tackle the raids before brel so il have a easier time. I dont think worrying about gold atm is a good idea for me so ima just chill get my gear and knowledge.
