I don't agree with you that "not all MMO are gatekeeping" - they all do. Lost Ark has quite bad gatekeeping but it's a product of how grindy the game is in combination with how difficult the raiding is
I think you need to appreciate that Lost Ark will always be a grindy MMO. They're not going to just hand you an Akkan ready character on a plate for free, but they go pretty close to that with their events

In lost ark there are atks that will push u up/knock u down. Then there are other atks where it just dmgs u. Any skill that says push immunity will make it so you won’t be interrupted by both of those atks. Paralysis immunity means you will not be interrupted against only normal atks but will still be pushed up/knocked down. Debuff immunity will only give u immunity to most debuff in the game except some special ones
