1. Do main story quests (MSQ) to Shushire, you will be given a full set of item level (ilvl) 500 gear
2. Do daily content for materials and hone all gear to +3, then sail to Rohendel and do MSQ
3. Do daily content for materials and hone all gear to +7, then sail to Yorn and do MSQ
4. Do daily content for materials and hone all gear to +11, then sail to Feiton and do MSQ
5. Do daily content for materials and hone all gear to +15, then sail to Punika and do MSQ, and you are now in Tier 3
6. Do first level of Punika chaos dungeon (ilvl 1100) to get a full set of 1250 Tier 3 gear
7. Hone your Tier 3 gear up to at least +12 (ilvl 1445) and start doing Valtan and Vykas legion raids for relic armour according to what your class needs; craft relic pieces and transfer your purple chaos dungeon gear one by one
8. Hone your relic Tier 3 gear to +15 (ilvl 1490) and do Brelshaza legion raid to obtain materials to craft ancient gear, transfer your relic pieces to ancient gear one by one
9. Hone ancient gear to +19 (ilvl 1580) and do Akkan legion raid to obtain materials to craft upper ancient gear, transfer your Brel pieces to upper ancient gear one by one

Other tidbits:

• You cannot skip Valtan/Vykas relic - only relic transfers to Brelshaza ancient. But you no longer need to get T3 legendary gear from Argos/Oreha.
• Clown/Kakul-Saydon (ilvl 1475) and Kayangel (ilvl 1540/1580) reward mats for a separate system to level up your relic set bonus to level 2 and 3 respectively. You cannot (yet) skip clown to go straight to level 3. Relic level transfers with your gear as you progress in the outline above.
• Honing past +15 Relic and +19 Brelshaza is possible but not advised due to cost - the only people who do this are those who are rushing an alt with significant saved materials

is it better to get all my ancient gear then hone or hone just the one that i have obtained?

starting out, youll only have one ancient piece

that you need to hone if u want to do brel gate 3-4

but if u arent in a rush, you can wait until you get more pieces

Is it worth getting Eurus?

is astray and eiberns situational ? Estoque seems quick and durable. If you upgrade astray/eiberns enough can it replace estoque as the default ?

astray is the fastest, eiberns is best for ghost ship, estoque best all around

but ghost ship is getting removed in the future, so eiberns not worth the investment right now if you're new
