Shrug. It barely matters. The Major missions do appear to have less adaptation but you get better rewards/energy spent
At some point you will want to use the stronghold energy for crafting so dispatching for major missions for less energy is better for energy efficiency

In terms of difficulty, EW Deadeye is probably the harder spec to play, PM gunslinger next. Pistoleer Deadeye got a big recent rework and is both easy and incredibly fun (supposedly). TTH Gunslinger is also quite easy.
