Classes normally use two different combat stats, specialization or swiftness. Sometimes a mix of three spec swift and crit.
Specialization is different from the rest in that it’s normally tied to identity meter gain (class skills) and it’s directly tied to skill dmg scaling. Spec classes normally need VERY high stats and need to hit specific breakpoints to function. Thus, higher cost due to needing high stats and stuff.
Low spec means a massive drop in dps while low swift/crit isn’t really too noticeable to an extent.

So I want to split the rewards of the event across 2 - 3 characters and I am unsure if it is possible. What I would like to do, is something like this:
- the rewards up to 1490 (not included) to be on my Berseker + to have access to the 5x3 engraving system
- some of the rewards till 1520 and all gems to my Sorc
- rest of the rewards from 1520 to 1540 to my SH (no gems needed)
I personally do not believe it is possible for me to switch it up like this, but perhaps you guys know a way?

Well here is the thing. I always checked what's better for each of my character. So I got the correct stats for each character, correct gems (tho they are at lvl 5 on alts), correct engravings (maybe sometimes I cheaped on some alts, for example I run DB striker and Reflux Sorc, but the quality of acc is almost capped). However I dislike the side content and I am only like 97 roster level. I think this is dragging me down really bad in terms of being gatekeep.

Synergy classes are very difficult to balance in general, and I’m not denying there are issues with gunlancer, and indeed I’ve never said gunlancer is some incredible class. But if you compare gunlancer with something like FI WD their individual damage output is not that different but both classes contribute a lot to party DPS

You obtain upgrade materials via guardian raids, chaos dungeons, abyss dungeons, quests, tower and islands
goal is to keep doing this until Punika where Tier 3 starts, and you can work on more horizontal progression on top of your vertical gear climb
the new changse coming today will make Tier1/Tier2 content shorter, so u might not need to do too much side content to hit punika.
