I am a bard main so it's hard to be objective, but:

Stagger: Pali (burst stagger) >>> Artist (overall stagger) > Bard (still good! Just the worst of the 3 unless you specifically spec into a stagger build which trolls your effectiveness everywhere else)

Countering: Paladin >>> Artist/Bard interchangeable (some people do not like prelude, I find it perfectly fine)

Damage Buff: Bard (the only support with a viable specialization build so it has the highest ceiling for damage buffs) >>> Artist (most consistent/best meter gain) > Paladin (heals and damage buffs at the same time, think of pali as the highest floor but lowest ceiling)

Deadeye can either be played as a high apm weapon swapping class that focuses on back attacking or a single stance semi ranged class that uses only pistol skills and has a lot of mobility. I don't play much deadeye so I can't be of much help besides that.

Summoner is either played as a slow meter gen building class that throws out a lot of low damage ability skills to generate your gauge for your big burst skill (akir, it's a big thunder elemental), or can be played as a fast roaming class where you summon pets that essentially play the game for you (iirc they do 60%? of your damage). Both builds are non directional hitmasters.

I would first look to see for class engraving accessory with those engraving combos first doe to see which is available

because class acessory can be scarce

i think lost ark is weird, because its not like some of the early endgame content is completely trivial to a new player. this was addressed in the most recent broadcast, where goldriver acknowledged that a new player has to remember a lot of stuff

as they get basically catapulted through raids in a week, that a lot of people learnt over the course of months

I think be careful about saying this. Some endgame is extremely uncomfortable without supports

Fact is that a lot of builds are designed around the existence of supports, and a lot of endgame content is designed with the existence of a support in mind

Supports contribute more damage than a 4th DPS in a party

And I’m fairly certain at least hell brel must be impossible without a support

Competence is sort of implied, not to mention as was mentioned Yearning buff is assumed for a lot of builds. However even a not as competent Support is still monumentally beneficial to the group with what they provide, unless you have a group full of absolute pro tier, savant DPS players that can perfectly execute every mechanic and dodge every pattern and have 100% uptime on the boss (not a thing).
