Yeah don't try to play catchup to the rest of the pack. You are spreading your resources too thin. As Signum said, you need to take it a step at a time
Alts require investment, and they can also take a while to even return that investment
And the higher you push them the higher that investment goes

Yeah, I guess I just felt that I needed to try and level them all up a little bit each day. I'm no good with remembering what different ilvls do but I recall seeing that there are certain levels where it's best to park the characters whilst you work on your main
but main is 1460 now and was thinking I'd try and get alts up a bit as I think 1460 is a decent place to stop

1445 or 1460 aren't bad spots, but they do still require a decent chunk of resources. Success rates are higher for them, but you're still going to see a good number of fails while pushing to those ilvls
But alts are still a later thing
If anything at 1460 if you do have alts 1415 might be more realistic since you will be able to get the honing buff research from your Stronghold at that point now

oh that one. its the mermaid right? when i was farming it there was also only a few people doing it and im on one of the bigger servers. u might also get unlucky and get put into ch2 by yourself instead of 1 with the rest of the players. was quite the pain

they are still useful since u will be needing them once the support goes away like i mentioned. but the engrav supports disable all engravings from accs, books and stones. when using the engrav support, what you should focus on is equipping the accs with the highest swift/spec/crit stat(depending on class. i think pally is swift). _
when you are not using the engrav support is when you will need to start caring what the engrav stats from your accs books and stones

- making an alt-based game and then having to log every alt to just donate/research on every alt guild
- the penalty + probation days for leaving + joining guilds, even if the guild is dead and you were just trying to se how active it is
- guilds in loa are pretty pointless outside the Bloodstones shop (although I'm probably biased cuz I'm on a dead server and every GvG we show up to is an auto-win)
