for legendary packs, keep the "selection" ones indefinitely, you will need them later, randoms always open, others just stack them, if you opened all, you wont have space

you can open them later when you are in t3, and have more understanding of what you need

You get a "tool" that is like skillet, maybe even better

Noob question: Does gear transfer change the quality of the item I'm transferring onto?

Say: Item A is being transferred onto Item B. Item A has a quality of 80 and Item B has a quality of 50. After the gear transfer, would the Item B piece be 80 now? or would it still be 50?

Also, if it's the case that it would be 50, does dismantling the relic item B give me all my crafting reagents back, and would it be worth it to try and recraft it at a higher quality?

If dismantling doesn't give me all the reagents back, I guess my only option would be to try and increase the quality of the gear after I've transferred Item A onto Item B?

the purpose of transferring is to move your honing levels to relic pieces that 1. have a set effect and are the backbone of all builds and 2. can be honed to levels higher than legendary (and as well the in case of upper relic and beyond)

you hone to around 1540, start doing brelshaza hard mode, then you get mats to make lower ancient gear, which you gear transfer to (and preserves the honing level you have from upper relic), max item level is 1615 and goes up to 25, the highest currently achievable in our version
