That honestly depends on the group you join. Nothing wrong with assigning positions if that’s what your group wants to do. KR pug strat is party 1 party number x3+1 and then 1 flex from party 2.
If only 5 people are alive, you have to do it.

People should be holding their counters for the meteors, they have plenty of time in between the meteor waves to have it up. The pug strat is also used with the assumption that all 8 players are alive at x7.

If you already got the two north vern powerpasses and the punika powerpass then unfortunately not, But there is something similar to a powerpass which is called Knowledge Transfer

In my opinion, you should only use knowledge transfer for north vern so that you don't have to level ur characters to level 50 and instantly have access to chaos dungeons and guardian raids

Ambush is also fairly cheap when it comes to getting accessories with it. Typically people will invest into one of the more expensive books to fill an engraving slot (like Grudge) because then they don't have to run as many accessories with it at higher values
