Is it worth buying legendary tool craft kit for 10k (euc)? I'm doing platinum fields or just excavating so I'd try to use it for either of those tools. I'm kinda afraid of getting bad rolls and therefore wasting 10k, but wanna get some better efficiency on those skills.

because you typically need 2 excavating tools regardless

theres some argument for foraging, but even then you'd probably go relic

and it will still take you a long time to make up the cost

basically it's not just the tool cost. the fact that you're investing in leg/relic means that you actually have to repair durability

Once you hit 1370 you will be crafting legendary gear to hone further, you get them from 2 places, Abyss dungeon HARD mode and Argos raid.
For "Optimal" crafting, you will be getting 4 abyss dungeon pieces and 2 argos, one of the abyss pieces will be the weapon.
Abyss nets you a total of 48 materials to craft (including first time completon on both Aira's Oculus and Oreha Preveza) AND buying both chests at the end of each, you will be using 45 to craft the weapon and whatever 3 armor pieces. Trade the other 3 abyss mats for 6 leapstones.
Then you will do Argos raid, you only need gate 1 and buying the chest from it to craft your other 2 pieces (including first time chest), it gives you 26 Argos blood in total, and you need 24 for the 2 pieces, the rest of the argos blood (you should be getting 40 total if you ran the 3 gates, so 40-24=16) will be traded since they give you 3 great honor leapstones. 2 Argos set is more than enough, never craft 5 set coz literally no one uses that set anymore, it's useless if you dont have another person with the opposite set to combo with in your party.

its way better to build identity and to atk buff over the fight than to save for a counter

It’s just practice. Once you’re really comfortable with all the normal patterns, it’s easier to stand in front of the boss and wait and hold your “gcd” for a second in between patterns so you don’t get animation locked

Also there’s a 30 second internal cd on counters so once someone hits one you can just spam your counter for gauge for a lil while

What does your roster look like in general? Is valtan hard the highest content you can access on your main?

my old main is 1460 with 5x3
1415 scouter 4x3, 1415 deadeye 4x3 + 2

those are the ones that are done in terms of accessories (deadeye needs gems)

I still have a 1415 striker that needs accessories and a 1370 zerker who's just there because he's gathering leapstones

the scouter was hyper express so he has gems (rip) and my gunlancer has level 5s

so my roster pretty scuffed right now

Well I would suggest taking it in steps; focus on one thing at a time. Getting to 1490 can be a challenge because it isn't cheap so that means pushing alts higher becomes a tad more difficult. I would suggest, if this is the intention and you want to (full 6 char go hard roster is not mandatory, so I just want to add that stipulation) for you to pick an alt, push it to 1445 and then move down the line to the next alt once that is accomplished.

That brings all of your alts to a minimum achievable ilvl and allows you to use them for gold generation on Valtan Hard (which you're hopefully able to find groups for). Then you can proceed to push your main up higher and progressively work on alts as appropriate, possibly in the same method you got them to 1445.

You just don't want to divert your attention in too many directions, you might burn out or just get overwhelmed by all of the upkeep across that many characters.

id be pushing my scouter to 1445 for the express rewards but I've been focusing on gearing my characters so they can do valtan every week

rn for me my guesstimate from upgradingg my weapon from 1460-1475 is about 40k gold per attempt
