hone to Yorn(600), do story(~2hours), do chaos or buy t2 gear, hone to Punikka(1100), do story(~2hours).
then use event mats to get shards/guardian stones to hone to 1370. you will be locked to how many oreha stones you can buy/craft though.
if you have all the mats needed to hone to 1370 already in your storage then you can do it all in ~5hours.
your longest time wasting would be getting enough mats and oreha stones to actually hone to 1370 if you dont have a stash

depends on the class?
supports have it easy, no need for lv12 skills
some classes may need certain skills maxed (10) for the 3rd tripod
you just live with being a bit less useful until you get the skill pots
ilv doesnt mean much if all your skills are like lv10 instead of 12, or some skills not at 10 even, and many more things
