You want relic accessories to sell, and you want them to have the correct stats and engravings as well. Its pretty rare to get a good drop to sell.

the actual reason you can't sell it is because you need to click on the auction house tab instead of the market, because gear is sold on the auction house

Well right now the Story Express and Hyper Express have made it tremendously easy to get to 1445 as a minimum starting ilvl for new players, and returning players.

Getting to 1490 can be...rough. Its still around 90k gold just with having average luck, but overall its not really necessary to "rush".

The bigger concerns would be gatekeeping, but if you're playing with friends you can mitigate that by making your own lobbies

Well you can do the dungeon portions as a group, but the story instances that pop up from time to time can only be done solo.

Typically people just go straight to level 50 so they can actually start the game which involves just focusing on the main story. You can go back and do collectibles and side quests at another time later.

Adventure Tome stuff can take a while anyway
