I'd still recommend doing valtan normal(join whatever lobbies you can) so you can learn the mechanics and patterns. As you probably know, hardmode is less forgiving if you're on/near ilvl so once you've downloaded valtan's normal patterns, it'll translate over into hardmode.

Yes. So what the process would be for you, should you choose to do it, is make a new character to use the Story Express on and progress all the way from 10 to 50 through Tier 1 content, through Tier 2 content and into Tier 3 content up to ilvl 1340. The Story Express provides you with all of the things you need to just go through this stuff in an expedited way, and at ilvl 1340 you will then use the Hyper Express on that ilvl 1340 character and continue up to 1445.

In the midst of all of that you can use the two free Vern Power Passes you get from completing the North Vern story (you get one for completing it and you get the other after you use the first one) and that way you can get two more characters up to a minimum of level 50 at 302 ilvl. You'll also be able to get a free Punika Power Pass for completing a purple quest you can pick up in Nia Village (with the 1340 character) that is called "Berver's Friend" which this specific one advances another character of your choice up to 1340 ilvl.
