Push ur 1445 to 1460 to unlock a buff in ur stronghold it makes it cheaper to hone alts to 1415. Then when u have the gold, knowledge transfer those lower alts up to punika and its pretty smooth to 1415. That way u can access a lot more gold making content

Which realistically isn't even that much of a difference from a game like WoW which is based around gear drops. You might really only get a good ilvl jump once per week even in that game.

The global buff up to 1370 is there for everyone...if its not there for them then they need to contact Amazon support. As for the Argos set, it wasn't something they just "gifted out" to anyone who was 1340 ilvl, its something only done for those who use the power pass.

Unless I'm misunderstanding something I would suggest your friend continue to push their gear up to 1370 (I assume their current gear is either blue or purple) and then once they do that they should complete the Punika Abyss Dungeon on Hard Mode as well as Argos to start picking up the Legendary gear they need to continue advancing in ilvl.

If you're new to the game just proceed through the early portions of it and if you have questions just ask here. I will say that your first priority is really to just get to level 50. Whether you want to do that as fast as possible or take your time is up to you, but if it is the former I would suggest making sure you take advantage of the Story Express on whichever character you wish to be your main (You can access the Story Express to enable it at the top right of your screen, just to the left of your minimap; it is an icon of a present that says 'Event Quest').

Additionally if you want to get to 50 asap I would suggest only doing Main Story Quests which at some point later on (at around level 35 or so when you leave the first continent) will transition into World Quests for you to continue your Main Story.

The "mandatory story quest" is only really a thing up until level 50, it doesn't require you to group with anyone ever but all of the endgame content is fairly group oriented. Also leveling to 50 is barely even scratching the surface of this game, its essentially just a very basic tutorial and everything after that up through Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3 is what you will be spending the most time on.
