@maiden locust Truthfully if you intend to completely stick with this character you already have as your main I would suggest continuing through with the story in North Vern and Shushire. Use that guide as well that Shado linked.
If you intend to maybe make a new character I would highly suggest enabling the Story Express on that character after it is created as it will speed you through early game things very quickly.

Once you hit 1370 you will be crafting legendary gear to hone further, you get them from 2 places, Abyss dungeon HARD mode and Argos raid.
For "Optimal" crafting, you will be getting 4 abyss dungeon pieces and 2 argos, one of the abyss pieces will be the weapon.
Abyss nets you a total of 48 materials to craft (including first time completon on both Aira's Oculus and Oreha Preveza) AND buying both chests at the end of each, you will be using 45 to craft the weapon and whatever 3 armor pieces. Dismantle the other 3 abyss mats for 3 leapstones.
Then you will do Argos raid, you only need gate 1 and buying the chest from it to craft your other 2 pieces (including first time chest), it gives you 26 Argos blood in total, and you need 24 for the 2 pieces, the rest of the argos blood (you should be getting 40 total if you ran the 3 gates, so 40-24=16) will be dismantled since they give you 2-3 great honor leapstones. 2 Argos set is more than enough, never craft 5 set coz literally no one uses that set anymore, it's useless if you dont have another persont with the opposite set to combo with in your party.

If you want to start new, sure, if you're unsure if Gunlancer is to your preference. Right now there is a Story Express event running that will make going from level 10 to 50 quicker and provide a lot of rewards but also continue on up until ilvl 1340 in T3 content.
From that point (ilvl 1340) you'll also be able to take advantage of a Hyper Express event which will help expedite your progress up to 1445 ilvl.

They've added many buffs to honing over the year which has made getting alts to higher ilvls much easier. Pushing multiple alts to current ilvls aka 1540+ and such is not exactly easy, but alts at 1415 is much easier and cheaper now. Even 1445 now due to the update today.

Punika Pass and Power Pass are basically the same thing, its just different ilvls.
Hyper Express is an event that provides materials and a honing bonus up to a certain ilvl, in this case 1340 up to 1445.
Story Express is aimed at new players as it can only be used on a new character. The benefits you'd get out of it on a fresh alt as someone already in T3 is very minimal.

No. Story Express is only for new characters, using a power pass would mean you wouldn't be able to use the Story Express on that character.
