It boils down to you and how you play it, which often is how much you're willing to invest time wise into it which usually coincides with how much you enjoy playing it.

Created alt, KTd NVern, honed to 600.
Tried to KT Yorn, but it said that character needed to beat the previous story quest (Rohendel) first. Do I need to go through Rohendel/KT it first? So on and so forth until Punika?

no this was for a long time ago, when we needed to actually play through t1 and t2, and some people were gated by shards, so doing the "alt" runs on mains would be a much bigger boost for your main

occassional cube and boss rush
tower completed, thronespire doing it
