i strongly suggest you mplay around with an engraving planner to understand what works for 5x3 and why that is the case

7/7 gets you to 5x3 with 1 leggo book with 0 wasted nodes

everything kind of stems from that

0 Wasted nodes mean that your rock must get you to 15 (or in other circumstances, 5 or 10) without wasting nodes from your accessories

Which is why 7 works because it gets you to 15 with a 3 and 5 from accessories

Having 2 legendary books gives you much more leeway because you have 3 additional nodes that you can “waste”

Nah, Genshin has a grind for artifacts where the stats on each piece are completely rng based, you need to match up a main stat and substats, then you need to upgrade that artifact 5 times, each time the upgrade goes into a random substat. If they just deleted all of those then introduced artifacts that are just a straight up upgrade to the base artifact system I'd be frustrated because that grind is so rng dependent

well lvl 5 is definetly ok to re-roll theres no way u will go broke before u get ur skill lol but lvl 7 can be iffy cuz its 90k silver each time. You should like set a limit to how far ur willing to go down and then if anything sell the lvl 7 gem for gold and then just buy the correct gem u want from market. You can just do that instead of re-roll with silver too if u want I just prefer to re-roll most of the time just cuz i am impatient about having to wait for gem to sell lol
