Chaos gates are scaled content so your power gets adjusted when you enter.
You can only do 1 per day and your daily quota gets consumed when you break the first barrier after entry. If you enter and leave without breaking that barrier your entry count is not consumed.
Because you only get one per day, everyone chooses to do the highest level one for the most rewards. That's why early chaos gates are empty
You need at least 10-12 people to comfortably clear a gate.

Because of how terrible this game's New Player Experience is, it might as well all be endgame related stuff. I always tell new/returning players to not worry about building that stuff until T3. For T1-2, just focus on getting your classes mainly-used stat on your accessories (Swift/Spec/Crit), and maybe equip like double class books if you have them.

in terms of getting the most value u always wanna run them instead of upgrade or fuse even if its just blue map. But i for one dont bother with blue maps and I just save 3 and turn into purple wen i can and always run purple / gold / relic map

the only restriction is that you cant interact with the auction house/market for 3 days

after that you're free

you can play with others, hone your gear etc, anything that doesnt require p2p interactions regarding gold
