the last time i checked, there wasn't much to be gained in buying a generic gem compared to buying the specific, remembering that you are losing a 5% transaction fee anyway

the game economy and honing is almost balanced around people having a full roster

im not really sure but there is a nice story going on and I think it's worth the playthrough, its really enjoyable experience the first time, even if you speeding through it, and its a nice setting to learn the controls and all that jazz before you're in groups with other players that might be angry if you're figuring things out still

you gain some decent roster xp doing it manually too, but to answer you probably dont screw yourself long term if you do rather powerpass, you can probably go back on another char even if you did miss some one time quest reward type thing

'Does It matter alot' depends on if you're looking to do other gates of Brel (if you're not 1520 yet) since lowest give the most ilvl after transfer enable you to reach 1500/1520 faster.
