Honing. You don’t need 5x3 until at least clown, and even then you can easily clear clown with 4x3. You should also invest in getting alts to legion raids before looking at expensive 5x3 setups too so that you can get a good weekly income

They are all gamba. People mostly buy the engraving chests because they are sellable. But it is completely RNG and you can lose gold. Think the honing chests have good expected value too, but only relevant if you are wanting to hone/would buy mats from the shop anyway. Up to you.

M1 wants to gain 50%+ gauge from the first orbs, M2 wants to gain ~50% from first orbs, whatever they feel comfortable with

M3 needs to gain gauge from showtime, getting hit twice gets 50% gauge, m4 can get hit once during showtime for 25%, or just wait for orbs to spawn

You want to have as much gauge as possible before the portal spawns. Means less stress from gaining gauge on a timer and you don't have to take as much damage from the turret

You should gain meter - I would say - as soon as you can if it is your “half” (pre or post showtime) to do mario

You shouldn’t “wait” until just before you think mario will happen. You obviously increase some risk that you will “turn” before mario starts but that’s a separate part of doing g3 in the first place.

Kakul will always do balls before M1 begins no matter how much you burst him - you can burst him to 90 and he will still drop balls before he does the pentagram which starts M1

And yeah, as Jonesy says, I would gain meter from balls to around 50%, so you get the last 50% from the flamethrower turret

For M3 and M4, M3 should eat 2 yellow aoes. M4 can get meter either from balls or from the M3 turret

The turret is very fast gauge gain though. You can do it from 0 from turret alone in theory. Even if you don’t have a huge amount of gauge don’t panic and just stutter-walk around the outside of the flamethrower aoe following it around

according to Zeals when you craft the new brel gear it keeps the highest quality version. so if you had 95 qual and crafted a 50 qual gear then transfer to it, you keep the 95 one and vise versa. you keep you set bonus and set level.

'Stagger' simply refer to PvE mechanic. doing certain mechs getting bosses staggered (Vykas red/black orb, Valtan running into pillar?, Turtle eating ice, boss's purple bar depleted) so nope it wont work with PvP
