Take a very simple example. A surge DB needs to build 20 stacks and use Zero to hit most of his damage. Valtan has a dps window after the first wipe before he jumps into the middle for the pizza mech.

Whether the DB can get that 20 stacks (or two) depends entirely on the party dps which is entirely out of his control and has nothing to do with how well he plays. So an identical DB can be mvp in 1 lobby and 5th in damage in another.

That's why tier lists are pointless. Lost ark raids are not static scarecrow dpschecks.

this is nothing like ff14 for example, where bosses are mostly just sitting in there waiting to be hit, and you dance at the rhythm of the fight and the boss' movements, this is so random its sometimes infuriating, but that's what makes it good at the same time
