Try on different hours or different days. Evenings and weekends are more likely to find people to fill the group faster

Matchmaking isn't really their fault. Its the way people are nowadays. Why accept someone that's weaker and doesnt know the fight rather than someone who does? People are more goal oriented than before. It is what it is.

You have to make/join a learning party. Ofc reclear parties dont take new people. They focus on fast clearing.
Not everyone has time for a 2-3h vykas run, if they have a roster, that does 6x vykas 6x valtan 6x clown a week.

If you're levelling hunting, i recommend doing it in a T3 zone like tideshelf path so that you get T3 materials instead of T2.
For how worth you feel it is, it gives slightly less materials than hunting manually, but it's pretty free to do if you just want to spend all your energy fast

Reason I'm doing hunting is for world leaves. I'm missing 5 leaves. 4 for hunting and 1 for fishing. I've gone from level 29 to 42 fishing without getting that last world leaf.

I noticed I got world leaves quickly on Crescent island (t1 area) then spent another 15k LE there, no leaves. Moved to Mari's island (t2 area), got 3 world leaves within like 25k LE. Since then, I've used another 20k LE and no world leaves.

Makes me wonder if I go to t3 areas, the last 4 will drop quickly? Or also try t0 areas (West Luterra)

and I've been fishing at Starsand Beach and Candaria, used like 300k - 400k LE I think to go from 29 - 42, and 0 leaves

then you can hoard all the boxes with actual t3 mats and use them on reap

then get materials naturally daily on DB and hone her slowly

you can also level up your other alts to t3 and get more daily mats and weekly gold in the meantime, having a t3 roster as early as possible is the best thing you can do if you wanna progress way faster

gunslinger has insane mobility skills, but she's a hit master class, wardancer has a mobility skill (can have up to 2 but damage loss), DB has one i think, big jump, reaper has an insane teleport* to back (or front) which i think its also a counter, scrapper has some mobility as well i think, sorc has a dash that you can spam if you're reflux, or panic emergency dash if you're igniter

any dps is good, always recommended to play what you find visually appealing, be it skills, flashy, cute/hot, mobile etc. Lost ark has horizontal content you can do to actually increase your strenght a bit (mostly skill potions), so you have quite some things to do starting out, some are farmable while some are time gated daily or even weekly

this game also "encourages" the creation of alternate characters (alts) to have a faster progression endgame

sadly you cant switch classes on the same char, so you have to create a new char if you wanna try a new sub class even if its the same class (another warrior to test berserker or paladin or gunlancer...)

right in theory. In practice if you're not using your skills within the amount of extra time the higher lvl gem gives you (in my example above 0.8 secs) because you are moving around dodging then the extra cd reduction pretty much worhtless

i mean, your not spending the entire fight dodging. you usually play your class and position yourself in a way that you can do all your dps or supporting without having to keep dodging around unless its for mechanics.

unless the boss is specifically targeting you and making suure that it uses its attack on you just as your abilities comes off cooldown. the cd gem wont be affected by you dgding things. the cd gemm doesnt remove the cooldown completly. it just makes it shorter.
a 10sec cd ability becoming a 9 sec cd ability means you still have 9sec to dodge things and repositioned yourself before you can use the ability again

example: same class, and spec, same engravings, and same stats, same playstyle, same brain
1- if you have lvl7dmg gems + a lvl5cd and i have a lvl7cd gem + a lvl5dmg. then you will do more dmg then me
2- if you have lvl7dmg gem + a lvl5cd and i have a lvl7cd gem + a lvl7dmg. then i will out-damage you. no matter if the boss stays still or if the boss moves around alot

you are using a tier 2 gem when you are tier 3, effectiveness is reduced by 50% due to that

the same happens when you are using tier 2 accesories and you enter tier 3

so in reality you are getting 20% more damage on that skill instead of 40

i said previously that gem level differs from item level, but tiers of gems are different

its not as straightforward as this though.
for your example of igniter and lvl5 vs lvl 7, what you're saying makes sense. and CDR directly translates to damage.

a lot of situations are not so clear cut.
Take WD for example. like 30-40% of my damage output comes from 1 ability. In your example, if i have a higher CDR gem, i can use that ability 10 times instead of 9 times, and i'll do more damage.

But, because of how my specific char works, i'm never using that ability unless it lines up with my rotation. So having a lvl10 CDR gem does absoultely nothing to increase my damage, as it no longer aligns with my only cooldowns.

CDR breakpoints are very important, lowering cooldowns are good, but doesn't necessarily translate to more damage. Its very much a case-by-case situation.
If you lower an ability CD by 1second, but you do not use it within that 1sec that its off cooldown, its an irrelevant increase

2 chaos runs takes about max 12minutes. 2 characters is 25min. thats also not counting guardian raids you have to do which is about 7-15min for both runs per character. so 25min chaos, dailies can take another 10minx2, 20min guardians for a total of 70min for those 2 characters that you have. not counting AFk and loading screen time.
choas is very boring and is pretty much just a button mash simulator. not everyone likes that.
