Gate 1 is quite a handful tbh so you will keep getting shafted until you get more experience with it, esp if none of the 8 players knows the encounter well

a tripod has a max level of 5. This is gained by having a piece of gear that has +4 in that tripod. Multiple of the same won't stack, it will take the highest.
