its pretty much do you need x or y just select what you need. most of the time honing mats worth more than the other sometime i'd choose Dye over stones at lvl16 cuz that those are like 300 blue crystal in value (which is like 6000g on EUC) cuz i know i'll definitely be using them but it wont be of any value if you dont dye your skins anyway

Battle item chest is about 25blue crystal per 5 chests so those are about 50bc. legendary rapport chest on the other hand is bout 83bc on mari shop but you could just camp wandering merchant with the cost of silver but as a new player battle item chests are nice to have since later raid you'll be using them non-stop especially whirlwind, destruction bomb but the game does give those out fairly often
