You should do the guardian event everyday and get currency to use in the guardian shop u can buy engraving books from that shop if u have like none but acessories u will have to buy from market or farm from argos weekly raid for legendary acessories to start off with but this is RNG

Hmm, seems to be multiplicative.
Tested Pally Holy Protec. It has 40s CD and with my 14% CD from gem and 31.5% from Swift I should have 45.5% CDR assuming additive stacking, giving me 54.5% cooldown, which comes out to 21.8s. But ingame shows me 24s cooldown.
If it was multiplicative it'd be .86x.685 = ~59% cooldown remaining, which comes out to 23.6s cooldown, which I assume the game then rounds up to 24s.

Endgame Question about Brel gear drop and the recommendation for people to stop at +20(1490).
if people stay at 1490. they will be able to do gate 1-2.
then after gate 2 they will get enough mats(1st clear + extra box = 44) to gear transfer 1 armor gear from 1490->1510 which will make their item level 1493. Gate 3-4 requires 1500. first clear of all of gate 1-6 will give a total of 89(44 + 30first clear + 15 auctions) which will let them get a max of 2 transfers.
armor pieces cost 40 and weapon is 100.

Brel gear requires new mats to gear up. ill take it that you have enough mats saved up for Brel and transfer them into Brel gear. and obviously buying from market will be a whole new thing since its new mats and there will be very little on market which means very high price for both stones and leaps. old t3 mats will also probably go up as people starts buying them to transfer into Brel mats.

TLDR: why are people telling people to stop at 1490 for Brel gear transfer. looking at this, it will take you a few months to get a full Brel set as those people wont be able to do gate 3-6 with their 1490 gear. if they decide to only gear up their Brel gear to reach 1500 so they can do gate 3-4, they will need to hone that one 1510(+12) gear all the way to 1550(+16) which will put them at 1500 base iLevel.

is the amount of mats/gold/silver that you save by staying at 1490 worth not being able to do gate 3-6?

I stopped playing approx 3 months ago because of IRL stuff so i wasn't able to play but I'd like to return and i was in the midst of swapping mains. I am swapping from a 1400 Shadowhunter to a Destroyer that is currently 1370 but am unsure what to proceed with in terms of 'order of operations' (Scouter is also on the menu as a main) and being efficient with my time in terms of things to do aside from daily chaos/guardians/unas.

I feel like i'm going to be relearning the game completely and am slightly overwhelmed - unsure how to proceed. I have heard that there is a lot of gatekeeping happening and its sort of deterring me from coming back but i do want to put my best foot forward.

My advise for new players or welcome back players that hasn't progress far.

Go for support to learn raid mech with minimal funding. 3x3 is sufficient from Normal Valtan to Hard Vykas.

Your case either reroll support or if you insist being a DPS stick with demonic impulse Shadow Hunter or reroll Transformation Scouter as this 2 class is the most cost efficient class to play with. Shadow hunter offer more DPS, while Transformation Scouter lower dps but with shield you save tons of potion. Transformation Scounter is also cheaper to build due to raid captain and barricade engraving despite the increase in price.

This 2 specific class route is the most cost efficient :

1. Don't require much tripod, example DI SH just 4 tripod will do, and that's only 36 Pheons.
2. Only require 2 transformation dmg and CD gem, while the other class required 11 gems.
