I've stalled out at 1415. I can't get matchmaking Valtan to fill. The two times I have had it fill didn't go well and people kept voting to abandon. I can't find any parties using party maker for first time people. And I tried creating my own party/lobby for new people and nobody joined. Any suggestions?

Perfect place to ask, first off, matchmaking Valtan is one of the worst things to do. A better idea would to apply to parties in the party finder. If you can't get into parties, make a party. If no one joins, a good title is key, "learning party, chill" or "new player lobby" or something along those lines.

the more you play the better you get, no tricks

you get familiar with your CDs, your identity bar if any, your abilities' range and hitbox etc etc as you keep doing whatever content

if you over focus on something, well, try to not, unless you're fishing for counters

but if your job is not to counter, just watch the enemy and react

my advice from personal experience is, play a tankier class if you are learning the raid, i used to main Dps, and i kept dying. But since I use my paly in new content before my dps, i survived and enjoy the new raid more. But it could be me bad at the game, im sure some people will pick up new raid with dps classes just fine. also after a few weeks doing same raid, you will just know where to stand and dodge.

there really isnt that much of a support shortage in clown, it'll take a bit but usually there's a support alt willing to do so. especially later in the week when all the juicers are already done.

Lets throw this here if somebody could have any ideas or suggestions to help me out: I'm currently having a pretty bad decision paralysis. My main so far has been a deathblow striker which is at 1460. Legion raids have taught me that I really really dislike deathblow. If I would like to continue that char, I would need to completely rebuild the char as eso which costs quite a lot both gold and pheons. My second highest so far is a 1415 deathblade which I also dont like in raid environment. I got a big bunch of other toons sitting between 1304 and 1370 but I'm affraid of investing / honing any of em since the two toons I've honed and invested in so far I have disliked with their current builds. Any ideas how to progress or continue with decision making which chars I should focus or try to choose to continue with? With the rest of the characters I feel like I would need to experience raid level play to have any idea if they really are for me. Any ideas are welcome at this point

I feel like to build is super slow and punishing. Being an entropy with pretty limited movement and long animation locks is a combo i really struggle with

For example Vykas is a nightmare to me with small enemy model that constantly swaps where she looks at and moves around a lot

A lot of my esoterics just plain miss or i eat damage when trying to actually hit my spenders

I realize that it should get easier as I become more comfortable with the fights, but so far it has been a real struggle that i havent enjoyed

I tried eso really quickly in trixion and at least against a dummy it felt better, felt more like tai scrapper (which i have a 1370 alt) which felt like missing some skills wouldnt be as punishing and with swiftness the movement didnt feel so slow and clunky

The problem is that people at 1302 don't even have correct stats a lot of the time, which causes problems.

And if it's not an alt either, chances are that they have maybe 1x Lv.3 engraving at best. I personally ran a T2 stone at 6/6 to run 2x Lv.3 on my alts at that point.
