hello guys im a main bard 1430 (support in pretty all video game) and i have all mages as alt + another bard (all 1370) (and 2 other dps class i didnt like one for rapport and one for trade skill glavier and gunslinger)
since i play them a bit all i earn A LOT OF points from the events now since i would like to spend them i was thinking of making a new alt and gear it with the event point but i have a lot of doubt

• how much could take this
• i would like to play other supps but i dont like paladins when i see someone play it so i probably not pick him
• i have the DPS that i think i could play (both mages) and the other DPS dont seem good for me, maybe someone here could advice some other DPS that i could like
• i would like to avoid to make another bard for try to avoid burn out someone here played more then 2 pg in same class how you feel

the maharaka points wont make that much difference but they can help, it's going to take you few weeks to get the character to t3 without swiping simply because you will be bottlenecked by t1 and t2 shards

I got a Taiju Scrapper to 1370 and it cost me 9k gold to build a (3x3 + 2) setup
Paladin and Bard are usually cheaper to build because you can go for 3x3 and be good to go

With the Maharaka tokens you can get per week:

• 5x5 Harmony Shard Bag (M) = total 25 000 shard (T1)
• 5x5 Life Shard Bag (M) = total 25 000 shard (T2)

To complete all of T1 you need a total of 121 600 shards
To complete all of T2 you need a total of 200 600 shards

And then I just swapped Leg Pupuring for Relic Cals for Punika Tempest sailing to go up a resistance level vs Tempest.

I've seen so many recommendations that entirely forget that Tempest only matters for an extremely narrow set of events (near a port to boot).
Focusing on Tempest resist for normal sailing is pretty pointless, so any recommendation for Epic Cals can be disregarded as inefficient.
The first 2 links recommend Epic Cals.
3rd one looks decent, but assumes you'll wanna swap sailors for low-level sailing events, which is kinda pointless. Also lacks Tasha for some reason?
4th link is just awful. Lists so many pointless combos making the choice unnecessarily confusing for players seeking info.

It's also hilarious when people recommend Legendary Blackfang(like in the picture you linked), as if it wasn't a 1/100 RNG drop that less than 1% of players have.

both are good in chaos. Graids are gonna be a toss-up as you're dependent on your teammates for a speedy clear but in a screnario where your teammates are cheaping out on their alts or just running literally nothing, GL will be less painful as you're a dps where pally it's gonna feel like a slog

If you want better bang for your buck then definitely gunlancer, both are desireable when it comes to getting into parties. Pally will always be a free ticket and I rarely see GL get looked over when it comes to getting into parties (unless they are running some really scuffed shit). Since gunlancer is a dps you'll get visible feedback of getting stronger as you gear him up, get lvl4 tripods, high lvl gems, etc. Pally it won't be as visible and you kinda reach your platue early

So, ah, I have a general stupid question about Lost Ark gear...I somehow figured out how to get that starter honing set on my shadowhunter and just kept upgrading and upgrading it until I had no more casssssh.
Is that the normal thing to do? Are you sort of locked into one set to start off like that? I know there's appearance gear in the cash store, but is that the only way to change your set's look?

My arcanist, for example, has been leveling and all her gear so far looks like skittle fairy stuff.
