Getting alts to 1340 asap is advisable. After that… maybe make another alt to 1340-1370 to fund the gold you need to push 1460 on main.

Is it OK to say that there's not much motivation to push a support past 1460 right now? Are the rewards at 1475 chaos dungeon that amazing or is it better to just push alts up with the resources instead?

Best strategy for fast progression is funnelling honing materials to main until they reach a point where they unluck SH(Stronghold) honing research then you push your alts as far as the buff goes and repeat.
SH researches are at these item levels:
802: 302->600
1302: 802->1100
1385: 1302->1370
1460: 1370->1415

Unlocked: StartOfBuff->EndOfBuff

Since your main is 1430(above 1385) your alts should be pushed 1370 now.

Adding more alts is something you can do when you feel like it, but getting to 6 alts quick is good for gold gain.

Well if you think are bad at the game the technical aspect of swapping between weapons might not be a good pick. DB also has the need to be able to build stacks etc but I guess if you don't play Surge it's easier. Playing TTH on GS is easier since only 2 stances

its not based on manual completion, its how many characters you have past that story in your roster. i've power passed 2 characters to 1370 and have another 2 at >1380, so i've never had to manually redo the story cuz i check the requirement for KT

there's really 2 kinds of gear requirements: gearing to clear content and gearing to get accepted to groups. 3x3 engravings with stats for your build is enough to clear valtan normal, but 4x3 will get you accepted into more groups

Alone for speed.
It's easier to herd enemies when there's not multiple players around.
Also, there's a slight increase in rewards the more yellow icon(challenge?) enemies you kill. Coordinating that is harder with other players; you wanna enter the first portal as fast as possible, then kill all the yellows in the second area before killing the big "boss".
The lower your purification % in the first 2 areas the more yellow enemies you get in the third.

Just spam Dispatch missions and research. You get resources needed for some important runes as a reward from those anyway, so you'll wanna do them regardless.
And make use of the Farm to get resources to repair the ships with(in case you don't have a lot of normal ones lying around).
