You want to skip only anikka to get the exp required. You will need to go back and complete it after you finish north Vern.

But this allows you to more quickly get to north Vern and lvl 50 to obtain t1 stuff.

No, you need to complete it to get complete Rohendel or something. There’s songs and emotes you’ll need. Also, if it’s your first play through, you want to complete every side quest and main quest once for the first time bonuses like virtues and such.

If you skip anikka without doing many side quests, you may be short a bit of exp.

As soon as you hit level 50, you can sail straight to north Vern and complete the MSQ to do chaos dungeons and guardian raids if you want. But you must go back and do whatever main quests and side quests you skipped eventually.

I was talking with someone about where to stop pushing main for efficiency, and I had previously heard that pushing to +21 was where you should stop to be most efficient (Brel NM entrance ilvl), with pushing some pieces to +22 if you want to do gates 5 & 6 week 1. They were telling me that Brel was released 2 gates at a time. I know that Brel NM and HM are released at different times, but I thought the gates for each were released at the same time. not so long, vern is the next continent and each continent takes around 2h so... basically 2h tops you're in the "real" end game content, which is called tier 1. I said "real" because the real game starts at tier 3.
You hone your gear on each tier 15 levels, then you jump a tier. you climb up your ilvl all the way to 1302 to reach Tier 3, and then shit gets real and you start unlocking harder dungeons, legion raids and so on.. at basically won't tell youmuch so just keep going through the story and enjoy the ride.
Start asking questions when you reach north vern and go up on your way through tiers

I leveled up my GL and Arty at North Vern after Vern powerpassing them, got them up to 1100, then sailed them straight to Punika.

Went thru whole Punika MSQ, then unlocked T3 gear from chaos. Then went curbstomping everything in Yorn in T3 gear

I was able to skip Shushine, Rohendel, Yorn, and Feiton by leveling my GL + Arty to 1100 in North Vern, then sail straight to Punika.

Finish Punika, get T3 gear, then go back and unlock gems in Yorn in T3 gear, then blast everything in Shushine, Rohendel, and Feiton in T3 gear. Untouchable, unkillable.

Was fun after the slog I had to go thru on main and Sorc on 1st Express.
