Because that's literally how the GR is designed? The boss will fly off and land in the center twice per fight based on his HP

Back before there was only 1 part of the map, he would fly off to a random part of the map and always land in the direct center

The skorpion does this too

he would dig away, and pop out at aa random section of the map, in the direct middle of that section

It was always very obvious who don't pay attention/are knowledge checked when they go chase the boss and get dropped on the head

when the boss ALWAYS spawns in the direct middle of thaat section they're running off to
