Gold sinks doesn't mean or do anything, gold is no different to dungeon tokens u use to exchange for items, the only thing that has value is and always been whatever progression items SG deems valuable by reducing the supply of, that is it.

If inflation was wild but all the items u wanted can be bought from a merchant, then theres zero effect on the game etc... ppl just have zero understanding of economics in a MMORPG, it is not even remotely the same as the economy IRL.

If SG wants gems to be worthless, its worthless the next day, if SG wants gems to be worth 1 trillion gold each, that can happen too, all it comes down to is ur time and how long SG expects u to grind to obtain X item, all the noise in the middle i.e rmters, rice farmers or w/e are just variances which speed up or slow down ur grind time dictated by SG.

Every single reported issue relating to the "market" can be fixed overnight by SG if they want, bypassing the "auction house" completely so yeah, none of it is in the players control, completely dictated by SG, the end.

Until u grasp the basic concepts of the above and the fact the director basically admits hes targeting players with money but not alot of time, all this rambling is completely pointless.

Directors main goal is to get players to swipe and his downfall is if he overgreeds and everyone quits the game, the entire game is around SG's ability to control their greed, thats it.
