I joined a static that I played with for 2 years. LOA is my first MMO. I played a lot of Destiny 2 before but almost never raided because of raid anxiety.
Having a group willing to learn together that you know won't judge you made a huge impact. Eventually I was comfortable enough to just pug raids. It took time but it did happen
