Story gives gear up tp 1585. Still need to hone to 1620 to transfer, but costs gold instead of silver silver instead of gold now. KT and honing a character takes a little bit of time with solo shop, chaos dungeon, event materials. Having a T4 character helps since you can get the T3 research and can buy some cheap honing books if you wanna go a bit faster.
