Lost Ark doesn't need FEWER raids, it needs BETTER systems. Here is how we fix Gatekeeping and Bots for good.

Keep the 18-raid weekly core (6-character roster). Implement Mandatory Solo AI Trials to "license" players and kill gatekeeping. Transform Rowen into an Open-PvP farm zone for Bound Gold to reward time investment and hunt bots.

Introduction
Lost Ark’s combat is the best in the genre, but the game is becoming a "Lobby Simulator." Gatekeeping and Botting are destroying the player experience. We don't need to cut content; we need a meritocratic system that rewards time and certifies skill while preserving the 18-raid cycle we love.

1. The "Rowen Overhaul": Progression through Time (Bound Gold)
   Currently, if you don't raid, you don't progress. We need a way to reward pure time investment.

The System: Turn Rowen into a high-density "Trash Loot" zone. Mobs drop items exchangeable for Bound Gold and Honing materials.

The Logic: Bound Gold is for internal systems only (Honing, Quality, Elixirs). It doesn't inflate the Auction House but allows you to push your Main and 5 Alts even if you have a rough week in raids.

2. Open PvP as a Natural Anti-Bot Firewall
   Bots thrive in safe zones. Let’s make the community the first line of defense.

The Mechanic: High-yield farming zones in Rowen must be Open PvP.

The "Purge": Bots are "loot pinatas"—they can't defend themselves. Players will naturally purge scripts from the map to protect their spots.

Dynamic Karma: To prevent bullying, killing a real "Mokoko" or a low-ilvl player results in heavy NPC hostility. If the system detects bot-scripting, no penalty is applied.

3. Mandatory "Raid Licenses" (AI Simulation)
   Gatekeeping is a trust issue. We need to certify skill, not just Roster Level.

The Trial: Before entering a raid lobby, players must clear a Solo Proficiency Test for that specific class.

AI Simulation: The game spawns NPC Bots (7 for 8-man raids) that execute mechanics perfectly.

The Test: You only pass if YOU execute your role (Stagger, Counter, Orb soak) correctly within the group mechanic.

The Result: When you see a player in a lobby, you KNOW they have a "License to Raid." This eliminates the need for "checking rosters" and gets us into our 18 raids faster.

4. Preserving the 18-Raid Core (Quality of Life)
   This isn't about doing fewer raids; it's about making them fun again.

Reduced Stress: Veterans will be more patient because teammates are "Certified."

Mentor Incentives: Clearing raids with "Certified" New Players grants veterans Luck Protection (small Honing success buff).

18 Raids, 0 Burnout: With Rowen providing a gold cushion and AI Trials killing gatekeeping, the 18-raid grind becomes a display of skill, not a desperate race against the clock.

Conclusion
Let’s stop treating Lost Ark like a job and start treating it like an MMO. Reward our time, certify our skill, and let us hunt the bots.

t's not bait, it's a serious solution for gatekeeping. Right now, veterans gatekeep because they don't trust strangers. A license proves you know the mechs, so you spend 5 minutes in a trial to save 50 minutes of lobby simulator. It's about respecting everyone's time.

Also, not to burst your bubble, but no one would care about "Solo AI Trials".

Solo mode is just, "You get to see the raid".
That's pretty much it, you don't learrn enough nor anything that's important enough in the grand scheme of that raid to actual not be a liability in-game.

Unless you want to have NPC Bots simulate every single mechanic in the entire raid, and that just sounds, weird.
Gatekeep is sadly a "Core issue" in all mmo's.

Best way to avoid is, make friends, join static, join raid guilds, don't be afraid to put yourself out there, make friends, etc etc.

The problem is that Titles don't mean much anymore—you can just buy a bus for a few weeks and get the title without ever touching a mechanic. That's exactly why gatekeeping is getting worse; even 'titled' players trap lobbies.

My 'Trial' isn't a tour, it’s a mechanical gate. For Hard Mode, the trial should be even stricter. If the Hard Mode trial requires you to hit a 0.5s counter window or a high-pressure stagger check to even unlock the 'Enter' button, then that license holds MORE water than a title.

'Make friends' is a great social tip, but it's a poor game design solution. A healthy MMO should allow a skilled solo player with a 6-character roster to play the game through matchmaking or party finder without being treated like a criminal until proven otherwise. We need systemic trust, not just social networking."
