All classes work together in some ways, also lost ark is not the 3 class system from most mmo (tank / dps / healer) It's more "Support & Dps".
You already got 2 people that can play sup (Paladin & Valkyrie) and a Shadowhunter for dps, so I guess maybe in that grp I'd go a Crit Synergy

GL Is really strong, high stagger, got a big buff right now, It can be a bit clunky to play, and It's not hot unless you like big boy's 
but It's a really good class, good synergy, lots of Push Immunity.
