The raids in this game are designed for you to react quickly to the boss’s patterns. If you have high ping, you will not be able to react fast enough, therefore causing a death or team wipe. This would not only be unfair to the player but also everyone else in the raid, because they would have to restart the raid again.
I propose the following solution if it’s possible to implement.
Let say Player A is from NAE and Player B is from NAW, if Player B creates the lobby, the ping for that lobby/raid will be from NAW. If Player A creates the lobby, then the ping for that lobby/raid will be from NAE.
When opening Party Finder, you can see all the lobbies with regions (I.e. WEST or EAST, maybe even show SA or OCE too? Idk).
To go a step further into this implementation (though it might pose a risk of gatekeeping), once you join the lobby, everyone will have a ping signal next to their name. If your ping is excellent, it’ll show green. If it’s kinda bad, it’ll show yellow. And if it’s really bad, it’ll show red. (Rip the red people, insta kick? KEKW)
Another idea is when you create the lobby, you have the option to select which region you want the ping to be. Even if you’re on NAE, you can select different region like NAW or other region.
