Like I used to play Naruto Online, the difference between spending & not spending was Night & Day and there was Event's in that game where your Power was pretty much your Placement and also then your Reward pool and that pool was pretty big at High-Rank's so you kept getting ahead further and further on the growth curve.

Sure, but this game does not have a hard ever-growing curve that's impossible to keep up with, games where I view p2w do.
And even on a pretty casual level you can get to end-game (Tho I'd love if they made it even better for new player's), but even Flow who's on EUC with one char casual is at Mordum Normal Tier.
And not being able to get Lv.10's or full book's won't deny you anything in this game other then getting into grps with other's of that level of character's, but we all know It's not needed to clear anything.

feels on p2w is always subjective people disagree on when things are and aren't p2w. My point isn't about keeping up or needing to play multiple characters. My point is that the devs continue to make friction that is alleviated by swiping (In KR) and then leads people who don't want to swipe to bus (in the west) and people who can swipe to also bus because the friction makes progressing (the fun) extremely costly. And yes, the price will eventually go down but by that point we are moving on to the next set of friction. The devs didn't even keep a 1-1 ratio for converting t3 10s to t4 8s they made them slightly worse and made t4 9s just the same as 10s but now you have a price tag of 900k instead of 250/400k back in t3
