It's pretty basic, he has a few "moves" that you should have figured out fast, one is "Ball one way > Ball + Guard the other way" just side-dodge the first spin if he spins on you, and then focus on G on second.

His main-mech where he goes underground is just Dodge blue wave > G, if you G he stands still longer giving you stagger time.

The other one is "Stack up > Dodge > Counter > Dodge > Counter > Stand close".

Add nice people that you meet in group, ask them if they want to duo / trio or similar, and when you start getting a bigger friendslist you'll have more people to raid with, easier to avoid simulator with friends.
