I think the only way they can devalue gold and let people not feel the need to run 6 raid chars is tying progression directly to raid drops like other games where you can easily play 1 char. Though that would mean putting all of those mats in the store for whales to buy because they're not going to pivot to aiming at lots of small fish since it would require significantly more changes to get people back in the game.

so looks like Brel can be done in 2 weeks, if you do G1-4, Akkan 5 weeks, doing gate 1-3, on normal / solo, so 7 weeks right there, plus any time it takes you to get "to" that point, plus, newer players won't have access to materials to skip up rapidly once they hit T3, unless they swipe, so wouldn't say my "months of progression" is too out there
